Hi all, unfortunately, someone has collided with the lock strike plate on the main gate, with the result that one of the rivets holding the plate to the post has been pulled through the post and the plate itself is bent. With care, the gate can be closed but it’s obviously not secure and until we can get it fixed there’s a risk that the whole plate will drop off.
Please let us know if you have any information about what happened.
Also, we would welcome any expert guidance on what we need to do to do fix the issue.

have just bent the bracket back in to shape and tightened the bolt. Works a lot better than before. The bolt is still a bit loose think it’s needs the next size up bolt and a bigger thread cut into the post. Might be something I can do happy to have a look. I’m here all morning plot 38c
