Main Gate

Update: thanks to the good offices of one of our plotholders, thank you again Peter, the main gate has been repaired and is functioning again. Thanks also to those of you that raised the alert and provided information

Hi all, unfortunately, someone has collided with the lock strike plate on the main gate, with the result that one of the rivets holding the plate to the post has been pulled through the post and the plate itself is bent. With care, the gate can be closed but it’s obviously not secure and until we can get it fixed there’s a risk that the whole plate will drop off.

Please let us know if you have any information about what happened.

Also, we would welcome any expert guidance on what we need to do to do fix the issue.
